Do you have a mindfulness practice?

Do you have a meditation or mindfulness practice?

"True silence is the rest of the mind, and is to the spirit what sleep is to the body, nourishment and refreshment" - William Penn

Becoming still in your mind can do wonders for your body's health and well being! Incorporating a mindfulness practice into your daily life can help to reduce stress, promote relaxation, reduce cortisol levels and support your nervous system, giving your body an exceptional chance to recover and heal!

Mindfulness practices can include anything from yoga, meditation, writing in a journal, belly breaths, colouring in and getting crafty, walking and even the dishes! Yep! Even the dishes! Anything can become a mindfulness practice once you slow your mind and become present! I actually find folding clothes therapeutic (But not the washing and drying part)

My favourite mindfulness practices are meditation and writing or scripting! I do these first thing in the morning before I even get out of bed! I am also obsessed with adult colouring books! I like to do this in the evening, before I wind down for bed!

What activities in your daily life could you practice mindfully? Where can you try to incorporate more mindfulness?! Notice the delicious smells and vibrant colours of your food when you are preparing a meal! When walking, consciously feel each foot step connecting with the ground beneath! Or better yet! Set aside some time each day to find a practice that you really enjoy!
