Replenish & Restore after birth with postpartum Acupuncture

The postpartum period is a time of recovery, healing, and adjustment.

It is considered particularly important in Chinese medicine and you might have heard the postpartum period referred to as “the 4th trimester”, “the first 40 days”, or “mother warming.”

Acupuncture treatments in the postpartum period are designed to support your physical and emotional well-being as you navigate this new phase - motherhood.

How Acupuncture Can Support your postpartum recovery

If you are struggling to feel yourself again after birthing your baby, you are not alone. Acupuncture may be just what you need to bring you back to feeling yourself.

Postpartum Acupuncture has been traditionally used to:

  • Aid physical recovery and restore energy

  • Promote emotional balance and reduce postpartum stress

  • Support milk production and overall well-being

  • Help with sleep, digestion, and hormone regulation

How Many Fertility Acupuncture Sessions Should I Have?

Studies suggest that acupuncture once or twice weekly during the first 12 weeks post birth is most effective, though here at Rachel Fitzpatrick Acupuncture, I also aim to be flexible with what works for you and your baby.

We will cover all of this in your initial session and come up with the best plan moving forward for your individual goals.
